Organizer: The Romanian Society of Radioamateurs

On the occasion of two years after starting actions within  the SRR’s YOFF program, we invite you to participate in a photo contest.

 
Eligibility

Each participant may submit up to 10 images, in each category.The photo must be made during 2011.

Images must have an explanation (incl. the place and date of capture) and a suggestive title.
Images will be accompanied by e-mail of the participant.
Images will be in electronic format (jpg), as a result of the camera.
Minimum size is 2048x1356 pixels, 72 DPI, the archived ones can be in .zip or .rar format.

Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified. Multiple exposures that have been combined  to produce a single "High Dynamic Range" image are acceptable. Images that do not meet these requirements may or may not be judged at the judging panel's sole discretion.


Categories of participation:
A. YOFF activation.
B. Romanian nature, as seen by radioamateurs.
C. OPEN (but Ham Radio related)

The contest is open for participation by all those who have an amateur radio callsign.
Images will be selected and judged by a jury of at least three people (To be announced).
Deadline for submission is 2012, 10^th of January.
Photos will be sent to the e-mail: foto.yoff @ gmail.comor uploaded via www.flickr.com.

The top three places will receive awards (and prizes - depending on sponsors).

RIGHTS
The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

The photograph must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.

Participant grant  the right to use and publication to the Organizer but retain all rights to any photograph submitted-- including ownership if applicable.

If your image is selected as an honorable mention, finalist, or winner of the competition, you grant The Romanian Society of Radioamateurs a nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to:

• Publish the images for The Romanian Society of Radioamateurs ’s purposes in any format, including on websites and in The Romanian Society of Radioamateurs ’s publications or presentations, such as newsletters, brochures, fundraising appeals, public service announcements, grant proposals, reports, awards, QSL-cards, displays, mailings and invitations.
• Provide images to other individuals and organizations on a non-profit basis, for promotion of Ham Radio.
• Use, in connection with the Photo Contest, your name, callsign, city and country of residence in promotions and other publications.
• Keep the files provided, and to archive the images on CD or in other electronic forms, so that your photos can be used to support our mission and be properly credited.
